Pregnancy Massage
Massage therapy is considered safe throughout pregnancy and we understand that women will experience different symptoms at different times during their pregnancy. Our specially trained massage therapists have undergone further training in pregnancy massage and can provide treatments at all stages ante and post natally. Pregnancy massage is often used alongside an exercise rehabilitation program, provided by our specialist pelvic health physiotherapists to aid symptoms and recovery.
Therapeutic Massage
Therapeutic massage is an effective hands-on practice that is used to treat muscle pain, injury and stiffness as well as stimulating the skin and nervous system. It involves the application of specific massage techniques on the body to work through the deeper muscle layers and connective tissue, for corrective or rehabilitation purposes, which can be associated with physical discomfort, stress and headaches. Therapeutic massage involves manipulating the muscles by kneading, stroking, rolling, percussion, trigger point pressure and lymphatic drainage. The therapist will use their hands, forearms, and even elbows to work through various groups of muscles and connective tissue to help reduce tension and discomfort and to promote blood flow healing. Our therapists are trained in all areas of therapeutic massage including Hot Stone Massage for a deeper and more intense relaxation experience.
