Neo is a highly skilled physiotherapist specialising in musculoskeletal (MSK) rehabilitation. With extensive experience working in Hong Kong and then more recently in the UK, Neo has helped numerous patients recover from various MSK conditions.
Prior to moving to the UK, Neo worked in a private clinic in Hong Kong, where he gained valuable experience working closely with orthopaedic surgeons and treating patients with a range of MSK conditions, including sports injuries and post-operation rehabilitation.
Neo previously worked in the NHS as a spinal specialist before transitioning fully into private practice. In this role, he was responsible for managing patients with complex spinal conditions and overseeing the training of junior physiotherapists. Apart from spinal conditions, Neo is also specialised in treating tendon conditions, using evidence-based approaches to promote recovery and long-term resilience.
In addition to his proficiency in traditional physiotherapy, Neo is also trained in acupuncture. He holds a diploma in acupuncture from Hong Kong and has received additional training in acupuncture in China. As a result, he understands both the Western and Eastern approaches to acupuncture and uses it as a complementary treatment to help relieve pain and promote relaxation in patients.
Neo believes in developing strong patient relationships based on trust, respect, and open communication. He takes the time to listen to his patients’ concerns, explains conditions in simple language, and collaborates with his patients to develop personalised treatment plans that meet each person’s unique needs and goals. Education is also a top priority for Neo. He prides himself on ensuring that his patients fully understand their conditions and causes, providing practical advice on exercise and lifestyle changes to prevent further injury and promote long-term wellness.
Neo is fluent in Cantonese and Chinese, making him well-suited to serve the Hong Kong, Taiwanese, and Chinese communities in the UK.
Outside of work, Neo enjoys practicing Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA). He is dedicated to continuing his professional development and staying up to date with the latest research and techniques in physiotherapy.
Overall, Neo is a dedicated and compassionate physiotherapist committed to providing the highest quality of care to patients, drawing on his diverse background and training to create effective and individualised treatment plans.
Neo is a full member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), the Association of Physios in Private Practice (PhysioFirst), and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
