Jo is a Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, with nearly 30 years of experience working in this area.
Jo led the Pelvic Health team at St. George’s Hospital and during this time was involved with developing a multi-disciplinary perineal clinic for women with severe birth trauma. Since then, Jo has continued to work in the NHS, currently working as a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist at Queen Mary’s Hospital Roehampton, as part of the Urology team, alongside her busy private practice.
Jo sees a wide variety of Pelvic Health / Women’s Health conditions including, incontinence (bladder and bowel), prolapse, post-natal pelvic floor weakness, sexual dysfunction (pain with sexual activity, vaginismus) and pelvic pain.
Jo is also a registered Mummy MOT practitioner, offering post-natal assessments from 6 weeks onwards.
Jo is a full member of the special interest group, the POGP (Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecology Physiotherapy), has been a trustee for the board, and also enjoys an educational role with physiotherapy students at St. George’s University London.1 in every 3 women are affected by Women’s Health problems over their lifetime, and Jo is committed to providing considered, individual treatment and management to each patient, who have often experienced symptoms for years before seeking support.
Jo sees women of all ages from adolescence through to older age. As well as during pregnancy and post-natally, Pelvic Health symptoms often become more noticeable around the perimenopause and menopause stages, as well as when older, so if you have any concerns with your Pelvic Health, then please contact us at MSO Physio for further information.
Away from work Jo has 2 adult children, enjoys travelling, yoga, karaoke, and cooking (the latter she is looking forward to in her nearly finished kitchen!)
